TIPS ELAKKAN TIDUR PADA WAKTU PETANG

Tabiat suka tidur pada waktu petang adalah satu tabiat yang tidak elok sebenarnya.
Lebih-lebih lagi apabila tidur awal pada waktu malam dan bangun lambat pada waktu pagi.
Oleh itu, sudah pasti dengan tidur pada petang, badan kita akan menjadi letih kerana terlebih tidur.

Namun begitu, tidur sebentar pada sebelum waktu Zohor adalah amat dituntut kerana ia adalah sunnah Rasullah S.A.W.
Elakkan juga daripada tidur selepas Asar kerana ia akan membawa kepada penyakit gila..

Sebenarnya, saya juga tidak dapat lari daripada masalah ini.
Apa yang saya perhatikan, waktu selepas solat Zohor dan setengah jam sebelum Asar adalah waktu yang paling mengantuk.

Bagi pandangan saya, jika kadang-kala sahaja tidur petang tidak mengapa.
Walaubagaimanapun, jika perkara berulang pada setiap hari, sudah pasti ia akan membawa kepada kemudharatan..
Badan bukan sahaja menjadi lemah, otak juga menjadi tidak aktif.
Kita akan menjadi seorang yang pasif dan sangat malas untuk membuat kerja.
Lama-kelamaan, berat badan turut bertambah dan amat dibimbangi akan membawa kepada penyakit lain seperti obesiti, saluran jantung tersumbat dan lain-lain.

Insya Allah, saya ingin berkongsi tips yang saya lakukan untuk mengelakkan tidur pada waktu petang.

1- Setkan minda anda untuk tidak tidur

2- Selepas solat Zohor, jauhkan diri daripada bilik tidur/katil

3- Selesaikan segala tugasan yang ada (seperti membasuh baju/melipat kain/mengulangkaji pelajaran/assignments/lain-lain)

4- Jika semua tugasan sudah selesai, anda boleh teruskan dengan aktiviti sampingan seperti hobi kegemaran, blogging, membaca buku, menonton televisyen dan lain-lain.

5- Segera menunaikan solat fardhu Asar

6- Jika berkesempatan, keluarlah beriadah

7-Bersihkan diri untuk solat Maghrib

Dan alhamdulillah.. anda berjaya!

Semoga tips ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh anda semua dan saya juga.

 Pepatah Arab ada mengatakan:
"Akal yang sihat terletak pada tubuh badan yang sihat.."

Tubuh badan dan akal adalah kurniaan Allah kepada kita..
Oleh itu, sudah menjadi tanggunggjawab kita untuk menjaganya dengan sebaik-baiknya..

TEENAGERS' LOVE STORIES

Assalamualaikum..
Semoga semua sentiasa dalam rahmat Allah..

Berdasarkan secebis pengalaman saya semasa di sekolah,
Hari ini saya nak kongsikan pengalaman-pengalaman yang ada pasal TEENAGERS' LOVE STORIES YANG SEMPAT SAYA TENGOK, PERHATI DAN KAJI.. (cewaah..)

Macam mana saya tahu semua ni?
Haa.. 
Daripada apa telah saya dengar daripada orang-orang bercinta, daripada kawan-kawan orang yang bercinta, daripada kawan-kawan seperjuangan yang mencegah 'cinta-cinta' (hehe), daripada perisik-perisik 'anti-cinta- cinta' dan daripada guru-guru..
Sebenarnya, dah lama saya perhatikan fenomena cinta-cinta ni..
sejak dari Form One lagi..
Tapi alhamdulillah..
Allah memberi saya peluang untuk berjihad bersama rakan-rakan seperjuangan sejak dua tahun akhir di sekolah..
Syukran Ya Allah..

Biasalah.. budak-budak baru tak kira lelaki atau perempuan yang datang sekolah menengah ni memang menjadi sasaran senior-senior..
Mereka manalah tahu sangat bab cinta-cinta ni.. 
Mula-mula jadi abang angkat dan kakak angkat but at last, bercouple.. 
(I tak faham betul la macam mane boleh jadi macam ni)
Sebab kebanyakan yang ambil adik-adik angkat ni memang dah ada ramai adik kat rumah~
Kesian budak-budak yang jadi mangsa..
Sepatutnya sebagai senior, kita harus memberi mereka tunjuk ajar agar bersemangat untuk menuntut ilmu di tempat yang baru.. 
bukan membawa mereka kepada kemusnahan yang kebiasaannya berpunca daripada bercinta,,

Di sekolah, memang pelajar-pelajar tak dapat lari daripada 'playboys' dan 'playgirls' ni..
Playboy atau playgirl ni adalah manusia yang suka bertukar-tukar couple..
Kesian betol hamba-hamba Allah yang menjadi mangsa mereka..
Tapi bukankah lebih elok sekiranya mencegah diri sendiri daripada bercouple?
Bukan sahaja selamat daripada menjadi mangsa, bahkan sangatlah elok kerana kita sudah berjihad dalam SABAR MENCEGAH KEMUNGKARAN dan SABAR DALAM KETAATAN KEPADA ALLAH..

Next adalah pelajar-pelajar yang bercinta sesama 'batch' ataupun yang paling susah lagi, yang sekelas..
Ya Allah.. hanya Engkau sahaja yang dapat memberi kami kekuatan..
Pasangan-pasangan yang bercouple-couple ni, kebiasaannya.. bila dah bercinta, pasti akan berdating.
Dating pulak dalam kelas, dekat tempat-tempat gelap dan lain-lain..
Yang paling sedih, ada pula yang bertugas 'cover line' takut ada orang pergi serbu

Bagi pasangan-pasangan yang bercouple ni, sudah pasti menganggap orang-orang yang menangkap date atau anti-cinta-cintun-di-sekolah ni sebagai musuh..
Mereka tidak faham bahawa kami melakukan tindakan sebegini kerana memikirkan bahawa kita semua adalah hamba Allah..
Sudah menjadi kewajipan kita untuk taat dengan segala perintah-Nya dan meninggalkan sejauh-jauhnya segala larangan-Nya..
Jujurnya, amat susah untuk melaksanakan amar makruf nahi munkar tanpa pertolongan daripada Allah..
Kepada-Nya lah tempat kami bergantung harap..

Namun begitu, kami bukanlah insan yang sempurna..
Kadang-kadang juga diuji juga dari segi perasaan..
Kami cuba menguatkan antara satu sama lain dengan saling menasihati sesama sendiri..
Saya sangat menghargai persahabatan yang dianugerahkan Allah ini..
Ya Allah.. Terima kasih sahabat-sahabatku.. 
Semoga Allah merahmati persahabatan kita..

Dalam perjuangan..
Pernah juga bertandang rasa malas untuk menangkap orang-orang yang berdating kerana jumlahnya tidak berkurang..
Dalam kekusyukan menelaah buku sudah pasti tiada semangat untuk pergi meronda-ronda..
Mujurlah Allah memberi bantuan dengan menganugerahkan kepada kami adik-adik junior yang memahami kesibukan senior-senior mereka ini..
Mereka amat membantu dalam meronda dan melaporkan perkara-perkara yang tidak elok dipandang mata sama ada kepada kami mahupun kepada para guru..
Terima kasih kalian..
Hanya Allah sahaja yang mampu membalas jasa baik kamu..

Dari pengalaman saya, 
Orang yang susah untuk ditegur adalah orang yang paling rapat dengan kita..
Walaubagaimanapun, tetap menjadi tanggunggjawab kita untuk menegur dan selebihnya barulah berserah kepada Allah..

Kita haruslah sentiasa ingat bahawa kita diamanahkan ke sekolah mahupun ke institusi pengajian tinggi agar menuntut sebanyak mungkin ilmu-ilmu Allah dan pengalaman agar kita semua menjadi insan yang berjaya di dunia dan akhirat..
Insya-Allah..
Berdoalah kepada Allah agar kita semua sentiasa diberi petunjuk oleh-Nya dalam mencapai keimanan dan ketaqwaan yang tinggi kepada-Nya Yang Maha Esa..
Perjuangan dalam melaksanakan amar makruf dan nahi munkar haruslah direbut oleh kita semua..

Ingatlah..,
Yang haram tetap haram..
Sesungguhnya couple itu pasti membawa kepada kemungkaran..
Allah juga berfirman agar kita tidak mendekati zina..
Setiap larangan Allah wajib kita jauhi..

Ketika kita lemah, pohonlah bantuan daripada Allah..
Tidak perlu dicari cinta itu..
Dengan izin Allah.., 
Semoga cinta yang datang mendapat keredhaan daripada-Nya..

Rasullah S.A.W pernah bersabda mafhumnya.. "Sampaikanlah daripadaku walaupun satu ayat."


Hayatilah ungkapan-ungkapan yang amat membina bagi saya..

Alang-alang hidup, hiduplah sebagai daie..
Alang-alang mati, matilah sebagai syuhada..

Kita sebagai manusia, hendaklah saling memperingati kepada jalan Allah..

Sesungguhnya bukan mudah untuk kita memiliki syurga Allah..

Masters of Islamic Studies at the University of Melbourne

Islamic Studies is a dynamic multidisciplinary field of study that has attracted to the University of Melbourne many million dollars of external funding over the last five years, including the National Centre of Excellence in Islamic Studies Australia (NCEIS). The new Master of Islamic Studies recognises these achievements and the importance of this emerging area of academic inquiry. The program will be offered from 2009 and aims to provide a credible Islamic program in Australia, providing a platform for those who have not completed a BA in the field. The program of study addresses the issues relevant to the development of Islam as a religion and civilisation from its origins to the present. It draws on broad multidisciplinary perspectives provided by subjects taught by a range of staff from across the Faculty, including anthropology, Arabic language and studies, cultural studies, history, Indonesian studies, philosophy, political science and Islamic studies.
The strength of the program lies in that it allows students to study Islam and Muslim societies from a multi-disciplinary perspective, or alternatively, allows students to concentrate on traditional disciplines in Islamic Studies. Students in this program are encouraged to develop their interests in Islamic Studies, and to engage in a broader range of subjects, taken from other streams available as electives. This breadth will provide students with skills to analyse issues relevant to Islam and Muslim studies with a reasonable understanding of the Islamic worldview, its value system, and particular historical experiences.
Graduates will then be able to further their studies in the field through research courses at the University, or elsewhere, or enter the workforce. The Islamic studies program is expected to be particularly attractive to students interested in working in an area where success depends at times on their understanding of Islam and Islamic culture. Examples of such areas include foreign affairs, international trade, immigration, ethnic affairs, journalism, social work and teaching.
The program is the first of its kind in Australia and will be part of the new NCEIS. It is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program, which is a key characteristic of Islamic Studies in the West. The curriculum has been designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake further studies or enter the workforce. Both historical and modern Islamic studies will be addressed in the program, which also incorporates the latest research, approaches and teaching methods in the field.

Course and Subject Details

This cross-disciplinary program can be undertaken as 100, 150 and 200 points.
  • Students may enrol in up to 50 points of language study in place of electives as approved by the course co-ordinator (usually taken as 400 level electives in the first 100 points of a 200 point program). Normally, students will take a maximum of 25 points of language subjects in the 100 point program; 37.5 points in a 150 point program; and 50 points in a 200 point program. See the undergraduate handbook for details; students with previous language study will sit a placement test to ensure correct enrolments.
  • If students are intending to pursue a research higher degree in the area of Islamic Studies, they must enrol in the 110-539 Islamic Studies Thesis (37.5points).

In the Islam in the Contemporary West specialisation, you will be focusing on the interaction between Muslims and Islam within a minority situation in the West, and the reactions it provokes in the Western societies. You will be studying these relations from different perspectives: legal, political, theological and cultural anthropological. You will be guided in your studies by a teaching staff with extensive knowledge of this subject, both theoretical and practical.

You will for instance be given the opportunity to investigate the increasing orthodoxy among Muslims, including the development of a new branch of Islamic jurisprudence, the fiqh al-aqalliyyât. In the social and political area, you will be studying the degree of organisation of Muslims, as well as the forming of an ‘Islamic’ identity. You will also be considering the legal aspects, such as how Muslims are increasingly trying to find a way to apply parts of the Sharia, for instance the prohibition on the levying of interest and marriage law.

You will be expected to participate not only in the study of the features of Islam as a living religion within the Western secular context in a general sense, but also to concentrate more specifically on the position of Muslims and the development of Islam within a particular geographical area.
In order to study the Western response to these new phenomena, a number of regions have been selected: North America, Western Europe and South-East Europe. Each of these regions has reacted to Islam in a different way, both in terms of legal structures (the relationship between state and religion) and politically and culturally. For instance, some countries allow Islamic family law courts, while others absolutely forbid them; in the same way, there are major differences regarding the attitude to the veil and minarets, and regarding the policy of integration and radicalisation.

These scholarships have been established by the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to allow graduates to pursue study of benefit to the Muslim world.
The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies is a Recognized Independent Centre of the University of Oxford. It was established in 1985 to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. The Centre provides a meeting point for the Western and Islamic worlds of learning. At Oxford it contributes to the multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary study of the Islamic world. What does it cover?

100% of university and college fees, and a grant for living costs (the rate in 2011-12 was £12,300).
Awards are made for the full duration of a student's fee liability for the agreed course. If your scholarship is offered for a course lasting more than one year, the continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual renewal process based on satisfactory academic progress. Scholars will be expected to write an annual report about their academic and social activities and achievements at the university.

How do I apply?

Apply at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Scholarships (OCISS) in the Funding Section of the University's Graduate Application Form. Candidates should apply by Application Deadline 2 (6 January 2012 for Medical Sciences and Philosophy; 20 January 2012 for all other subjects).
In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must submit your application for graduate study by the January deadline (20 January 2012) and you must have secured a place on your chosen programme of study by the expected final decision date (16 March 2012). Applications with an outstanding admissions decision after this date, or applications which are re-evaluated against the later March deadline field, are not eligible for scholarship consideration.
You must also complete a Scholarship Supporting Statement and upload it together with your Graduate Application Form by the application deadline in order for your application to be complete.
If you do not apply in full by the deadline, you will not be considered for the scholarship, even if you have selected Oxford Centre for Islamic Studeis Scholarships (OCISS) on the Graduate Application Form.

How will I know if I have been successful?

Successful candidates will be notified by email by summer 2012. This webpage will be updated to show when all decisions have been made. The MA in Islamic Studies is designed to give students a foundation in Islamic Studies through the study of Arabic and courses on the Qur'an, Islamic Philosophy, Theology and Mysticism, Islamic Law, History of Islam and modern developments in the Muslim world.  Students will also be trained to address the relation of Islam to other religions through comparative courses in Christianity and Judaism.

It is designed for students with little or no previous undergraduate training in Near Eastern societies and languages.
